You can wire the locker coil to a switch/relay and also wire in an LED for an indicator when engaged if you want.

I can confirm. Installed rubi axles in my 2013. Literally the same as wiring a set of lights, except that you can add an indicator light to show if the locker is engaged. I used the carling cotura switches. Two light switch. Top light went on when I turned the locker on and bottom light once it engaged.
