I would agree with this for daily driving and some offroading. Dealer equipped Rubi 5sp outfitted with 35s still moved along nicely.

I have the 2012 sitting on 35's with the auto 4:10 gears and while I haven't taken it offroad yet, it has no problems on inclines and even has some ballsy acceleration. I don't see the need to regear but that's not to say I wouldn't change my mind after driving one that has been.

I know that there are one or two people with 2012s and manuals with new gears and no problems. I think the limp mode happens to autos only.

This is correct. AEV ProCal now shipped for 2012, works great in mine.

I looked at a gearing chart and the sweet spot for 35's was 5:13's.

With a 2012, that will be too much gear for a 35. The 85 more hp makes a huge difference. It'll work if you like 10mpg.

I'm curious how well a '12 auto with 3.73's would work with 35's. I don't really need the added expense of buying a Rubicon just to get 4.10's. Has anyone driven a '12 auto with 3.73's and 35's????
