Default gears

I have a 08 jeep wrangler Sahara. I am looming to upgrade the gearing ratio on it because I basically have zero power. I am running 36-12.50 inch tires what is the best gearing change I can do to acquire MORE torque?

On my 07 and 11 I ran 5.13's and really liked them with 35's.

Didin't want to go to the 5.88's as the gears get really thin.

This is beat up but... Auto or manual? Mall crawler or off road? Flat roads or mountains?
Auto = 4.88 or 5.13
Manual = 4.56 or 4.88

Many many threads on this.

Yep, need more information on transmission and location and use.

If you open the FAQ's (stuck right to the top of this modified area) and scroll down, you will find some good rpm charts broke down by engine and transmission. Measure your tires (measured, not mfg spec) and plug in the numbers. If you have an auto, pressing the od/off button will give a good comparison.

And as noted, this question is asked on a daily basis so there are literally a thousand other threads to read through on it for more opinions.

Tencan: Welcome to JK-Forum! Please, however, do us a favor and ask a question in only one sub-forum--asking the same question in multiple sub-forums just contributes to confusion over answers. And here is mine, reposted from JK Talk (since this forum here is the best one for your question) ...

The FAQ is a great place to start with that question. Scroll down to post number 4 (the direct link in post 1 is broken) ...

Like I said in your other post, I run 35's and 5.13's I think it's just about perfect, I could easily run 37's if I decided to and i have plenty of power down low and all the way up to highway speeds
