GEARS options except Superior
Actually I heard that the Superior gears for the JK were made in Europe.
At any rate I've got Superior 5.13's in mine and they are as quiet as the factory gears. I think it all depends on who installs them. I highly recommend using a shop that does lots of gears and will take the time to set them up right. I'd bet a poorly set up set of Dana/Spicer gears would be noisy. I'll do damn near anything to a vehicle, including rebuilding the engine, EXCEPT gears.

my major problem is to find a expert installer. Unfortunately in Oz so far according to my knowedlge no one has installed 4.88 or 5.13 in their JK. the last time there was a guy who tried to install 4.88 superior has so many problems that his rig was sitting with installer for a month and at the end he had to go back to original gearing. I have been also told that superior is very hard to install my question is why?
I just want to avoid any issues like bec the cost to do that is

The major issue comes with D30 not D44. I thought of swaping my front with D44 mopar rubi but again the Axle housing is for left hand drive and here is oz the steering mounts are on the opposite side which will require cutting and welding and i dont even have dimensions etc
any help would be great

The other type of outfit is the dedicated driveline shop. Every American town of decent size seems to have one. The do a lot of driveshafts and gears for commercial trucks. A lot of dealers and independant shops contract jb=obs out to them. Commercial users are fussy and expect gears to last several hundred thouand miles. When I regeared and added posi to my TJ I used a commercial driveline shop and 50k miles later everything is fine. When I did my 5.13's in my JK I used a local 4x4 shop that does a lot of gears and had good references. So far so good. You may have to drive to a larger population center to get your gears done.
Thanks for the reply. I actually just found out there is a shop who installed 4.88 gears in the Dana44 and front as first. He said he has not done d30 so far with 4.88

The first is a 4x4/offroad shop that does a lot of lists and big tires where regearing is necessary. The shop I used does a lot of gears. I inquired and they said there is no difference in installing different brands.

According to Chad, Randy's gets their Dana 44 gears from Superior Axle and Gear. These are branded as USA Standard Gear or if you want a prettier box Yukon Axle.
Superior Axle and Gear is also known as Foote Axle and Forge L.L.C., is classified as Motor Vehicle Parts and Accessories and has a total of 46 people. Their web site states "We are a 100% in-house manufacturer. We forge, CNC machine, heat treat, precision grind and spline right here in our Los Angeles facility."
Therefore USA Standard Gear = Yukon = Superior = Foote Axle and Forge = made in the USA -- At least for the Dana 44 gear set.
Couldn't find much on Alloy USA, LLC except that the business is classified as Auto and Home Supply Stores with a total of 6 people. Obviously they don't make their own gears.
