Default GEARS options except Superior

Are there any other Gears except Superior like YUKON or Precission alloyusa etc

I heard superior gears are loud and people in TJ have precission gears which are very quite, reliable and strong.....

I dont have any links. Superior, Yukon, ect... are the "popular" brands so to say. They are advertised everywhere. They are high quality gears, dont get me wrong though. However IMO you cant get a better set of gears then Dana / Spicers's. Its like the choice of getting OEM parts vs. aftermarket parts....quality. Dana's set-up very nice, I have never had a problem with them either. Noise wise.... I personaly belive it depends on the guy who sets them up. granted There are a few specific gear companys (Genuine, Motive, US gear) out there that use lower quality steel to make thier gears, and thier tolerances are way looser compared to others. I have done a few installs with Yukon's and they are OK, I would use them. Superior's are very nice gears also, never had noise issues those. I'm running 5.13's in my JK from Superior and like them, I wish I got Dana Spicers but they were not avaliable. I havent brought it up here but my JK's D30 is having oiling issues with the small pinion bearing. That sucker runs hot compared to whats "adverage". I had to put new gears in my D30 after roasting the pinion bearing with only a 5mile drive. The bearing recived NO oil during that test run. I ended up using a pump to oil the bearing after I installed the new set of gears. I also used 90w oil instead of the usual 85/140. It still runs hot compared to the big pinion bearing, but no issues so far 4k miles later.

Randy's ring and pinion sells Yukon for the JK. "Any experience with Dana/Spicer" ... Yeah... that's who built the axles in your Jeep. Pretty sure they have the whole axle parts thing down no prob.

currently, superior is all you've got. as mentioned, yukon/randy's should have some available soon. and, from what i understand, there might be one more company coming out with gears but unfortunately, it's not alloyusa

Just curious, buts whats wrong with Superior? Any issues? I am having my Superior gears put in Friday/Saturday and now I'm like, wtf? In my previous experience, if the gears are noisy, they ain't set-up correctly. Input?

I have Superior in mine and NO ISSUES!!!

I believe Superior is the only one that are actually made in the USA...All the other ones are from China with the "vedor" name stamped on...yes even the ones with USA in their name are not made in the USA!!!

Superior makes a ton of items in the USA but I am pretty sure the JK gears are made in china.

We had had zero issues with this last run of gears.

Alslo if you have yukon or alloy or any other brand of gears in your JK You have superior.
