Gears vs Tcase...
I'm considering some 4.88 gears to bring back some power to my JK, but it seems to me that a Tcase might be a better option. I can address the gearing ratio, and also get a stronger 2 stick tcase. Does Atlas offer an easy tcase swap for the JK? One of the factors in swapping gears is also paying the garage to install them. If the tcase swap is easier/faster, the cost might be close than one might think, no? :-)
Anyone running an Atlas tcase? What do you think? Was it worth it?

Is your issue with on-road power or off-road power? What size tires are you running? Your solution may depend on your answers to these questions. I personally don't think that "power" is a problem in 4-lo. I would like to have the slower "crawl speed" that 4:1 offers though.

The tcase is used for 2wd, 4hi, and 4lo, so I'm sure there's a 2wd/4hi gear combo that would improve the ratio to get more power / higher rpms.

The Atlas 2 speed cases still have a 1:1 ratio in high, just like your factory case. The Atlas 4 speed cases have other reduction options but are more costly. I would guess that you would have about $3000 or more in a 4 speed Atlas with shifters. You should be able to get front and rear gears done for about $1200-$1500. I think a gear swap is probably what I would do in this situation. Good luck.
