They're new as of the fall and I was pretty close to ordering them (bought tires Friday!) but the extra 10-12lbs per corner in addition to the narrow tread kept me from them. They measure out very narrow in comparison to other tires- 10.5" in the 315mm size category.
They look awesome but I couldn't justify the extra weight with so little info on longevity.

I was also looking at the General Grabber AT2's which are 7 pounds lighter in 285 than 295 X3's and I've read some good stuff on the at2's
gonna be mostly on road driving occasional back roads but we get a bit of snow here in the northeast also

Sorry, no experience with AT3s, but I have been running the Grabber for a couple years now. The wear nice and are not overly loud on the road. I will consider AT3 next time around.
One recommendation, run red letters in if you wheel it much. The red letters will wear off quickly and look like garbage over time. If I run them again, I will go red letters in.

I had general grabber at2 on a Mercury mountaineer. I had it for a while, then sold to a family member. By the time they were replaced they had over 100,000 miles on them. They held up great. Wore evenly. Were great in all NJ weather conditions on the road. I did not take this vehicle off road except easy fire trails.

As for General tires. I have had a fleet of 32 light duty trucks, from 150's to 350's. We have tried every major brand out there, including Michelin, since they are usually the gold standard. The Generals have given better tread life than them all, and have proven less prone to failures.
As for the grabbers on my jeep, I am super pleased with them. I bought them thinking that if they lasted 12k I would just get a new set. At this point, my jeep is at 20,000 miles in the past year. The Grabbers are wearing like Iron. I will be buying them again. That being said, I will admit that I bought Toyo A/T2's for my Raptor because I wanted something quieter on the highway, and it isn't used for what it is necessarily designed.

I just put them on my JK and so far they are very nice. Deep snow they are great. They are heavy but they are also larger than most "35's" that's probably where a lot of the weight it. Mine measure right at 34.5 give or take with 26 psi. That's what I used for my Procal and it's spot on. They are a good inch taller than my BFG KO2 35 12.50 17s that I had on my white JK.
