Just installed my GenRight Aluminum Tire Carrier. I just need some tips on painting aluminum... What kind of prep, primer, paint ect... I will remove it to paint it.
On a side note. This is the best tire carrier I have ever had (and the most expensive). This thing is solid and very light! I went out wheeling this morning and I did not see the tire move an inch!
P.S. No im not going to LineX or Powdercoat

What are your plans for a rear bumper?

Im still debating... I dont want a heavy bumper like I use to have on there. I was looking at the offroad Evo tire carrier and they are not using bumpers and have caps on the frame... something to think about. I might just fab up a small piece of steal

Nice to see somebody running this. I am about ready to pull the trigger on all of the ALUM Genright stuff but I am looking at painting it as well. I am not a huge fan of the polished stuff. My current Bumper / Tire Carrier combo is sagging the rear of my jeep and I am looking at putting this pig on a diet. Overall the carrier cost with a bumper is about what I paid for my current bumper / carrier so the cost is not out of line in my opinion.
