Currently have a 2009 Rubicon unlimited auto with 4.10s. Should I get 5.13 or 5.38 gears?

5.13s are perfect for 37s.

5.13's are plenty in my opinion. But heck, I'm just a Jeeper on an online forum

I seem to think the 5.38's are popular with the rubicons that have an auto. my 5.13's work fine with 37's and my auto though.

Reconsider the 37's. I know they're cool and the thing we all want but unless you have a larger engine (hemi) you're going to be very unhappy with the now very underpowered beast. Stick to 35's as the biggest. 4:88 if you do mostly highway, 5:13 if a lot of off road stuff. Seriously, 37's look very cool, but they cause more regret than happiness.

Good advice here..... But if you're set on doing it... 5:13 will be fine

I installed 5.38s with 37s. If I were to stick with 37s I would have been better off with the 5.13s. However, I plan on 40s in the future. All said, you'll be happier with 5.13s unless you plan on going bigger later on down the road.

I will agree with that. If you are dead set on it, 5:13.

You're right, It's not a sports car.....but, it really sucks to be doing 45 on a moderate incline when traffic all around you is doing 70. Unless you like winding the tach out to 5 grand just to do 60 in 2nd gear i'd advise against it.
