I ran a TF 2.5in BB w 33x12.5 A/T's on my 08 JK with no issues. Great combo for a DD. Here's some old pics.

Before lift w 33's.

After TF 2.5 BB w 33's.

My first set up was a rough country 2.5 spacer kit with procomp shocks (not needed) and 33s on my stock rims. Not the smoothes ride but it was the cheapest and worked great for me at the time.

Thanks for all the good feedback and keep it coming. I am adding the heavier bumpers so I want to make sure I take that into account. I already have the rear mopar off-road and waiting for a deal on a front.

Go with teraflex 1.5" spring level. Then you can ad a spacer to increase height after bumpers go on.

No more than $500 on lift kit
I'd seriously look into an old man emu or teraflex...the ride on an old man emu would probably suit you well for a DD. just my opinion...
though you might need more than $500...

Have you thought about just adding a budget boost instead? How much wheeling do you plan on doing

Not a lot of wheeling just dont have the time, maybe once a month. I will spend more than $500 if I need to, I wan to to do it right the first time.

I have the performance leveling kit on mine and I love it. It rides good and looks good with stock tires. my wife has the spacer leveling kit and she is happy as well. I'm mounting my 35x12.50s on Friday if my spacers are in.
