Getting Nervous about lifting..
A 3" lift is on the edge of having issues. Depending on the actual amount of lift you get, you may need adjustable front control arms, and there is still a chance you will need a front driveshaft. Whatever lift you go with, I recommend getting adjustable track bars.
If you are that concerned, and it is your DD, then why not look at a 2.5" lift such as Teraflex or AEV? you can run that setup without too much worry about a front track bar and they have proven to ride well on the road and clear 35" tires.
Also, when it comes to tires, go with a light weight tire. This will not only save wear and tear on factory components (ball joints, steering components etc) but you will also get better gas mileage. Look at GY Duratracs, or an all terrain alternative to heavy mud terrains.
DDs spend 95% of their time on the road, that is where you will get the best bang for your buck on tires. There are several all terrain style tires that are light weight and work great on the road, while providing enough traction and durability off road to suit a DD that does weekend wheeling. Just my .02

Ran teraflex 2.5 on my 2 door Sahara with pro comp extreme all terrains and I'm getting ready to run the same set up on my 2013 rubicon unlmtd. Tires weren't loud at all and have a 40,000 tread wear life
im going to run a 3' teraflex lift. and i definitely dont have exposible income. its taken me more than half a year to save up this much. thank god i dont have any bills to pay besides for gas and my car payment
Good to hear. I guess I was just unlucky. After my 35s were put on I wore out everything. Now I have to pay just as much to fix the steering components as I did to lift the thing. Ended Putting it all on a credit card because im short on cash. It's my DD too so I'm with no car til my stuff gets in from northridge tomorrow.
I ran 4" of lift for 15000 miles with stock shafts bjs and track bars on my 2 door. I did put in front lower and rear upper arms though and the lift came with trackbar brackets. I had no issues at all. I only upgraded as i finally saved up. Id say ull be perfectly fine.
i was in the same boat, worried about lifting, but i went with the 2.5 rock krawler stock mod. It comes with a nice front trac bar and isnt too much lift that it will destroy the drive shafts
