Default Gibson Cat Back

I just bought a Gibson Cat Back today for my Rubi. I was pretty spontanious and ordered an Airaid Intake as well as a Jet I Module from Quadratec...

Anyone know if the Gibson is decent or did I jump the gun on this one?

Thanks,

2D or 4D? 6Spd or Auto? Isn't the Jet 1 module for stock exhaust? I thought the Jet 2 was for modified vehicles.

Please post picts, installation commentary, and mp3s of the sound if possible.

Why did you pick Gibson and Airraid? I know they are both on Quadratec already.

Also, Is there a preference between Airraid and AEM? Should I wait for offerings from K&N and Volante, or others?

Has anyone else put on catbacks yet? (I know about 1BadJK and his Dyno (thanks again for all that info.))

Unfortunately I have to put things on one at a time. Should I go with catback or intake first? I was hoping for catback for the sound, but I want to do what's best for the Drivetrain. Thanks to any and all!

yea a buddy of mine put a gibson cat back on his XJ and it had that higher pitch sound not the nice lower tone that a 4x4 should have.

Jeeze, I never thought of that. Man I'd be pissed if it sounded like a ricer... Now I'm having second thoughts.

It says that the Jet I is for mildly custom vehicles, which is what I figured mine will be after the airraid and cat back. The Jet II require 91 Octane and a 180 degree thermostat (not even sure if ours comes with that from the factory).

Airraid claims better HP and Torque than the AEM which is why I picked it. I guess we'll see if all this stuff is a waste.

As a point of reference for sound, I just installed a Gibson sideswept on my '04 F150 5.4L a month ago and the sound is very close to stock. Only notice a sound difference between 2800-3200rpm, othersiwe very quite.

I'm also a member of f150online, and a lot of guys had trouble with Airrad running lean for what its worth.
