Question Tires!

alright guys i think we mostly agree ( from what i have read on these boards in general lol ) that the jk belongs in at least 35s!

my question for all is what is a good 35" tire what should i get. i want a good tire w/ an agressive look and nice sidewall thread. that would do good in mud and be ok on the street. radial as well
budget: tring to keep it below $200 a tire!

tires i have considered thus far: bfg mt, pro comp xterrain/mud, maxxis big horn, and the nitto mud grappler although seems its out of price range. all in 35-12.5-15 size

what do you guys think, also where can i get a great price on a set? been looking all around the web and prices fluctuate so much between them.

so people that have had these or tires give me a nod or nay on a tire looking to order this week

thanks in advance

For your purposes, I would recommend BFG M/T KM's. Great in the mud and on the street and can be purchased at Costco at a no haggle low price.

yeah i looked at those, the seemed almost the same as the xterrains... so the claws better though? (all i heard about them is they wear pretty quick, i may be wrong???) i would really considers those i love the way they look. the BFGs and bighorns look good and at a great price but they somewhat lack in that aggressive nice looking tire catagory, they seem tried and true but a bit ordainary. but hey if every one swears by them who am i to argue. :P

Have you looked at the New Mud Country's, I'm going with them for right now they are about 200-230 a tire in 35x12.50R17.

You running the Mickey Thompson Baja Claws in a 35 right now? Got any pics on those on your vehicle?

I've been on the fence on getting a set, but haven't heard much feedback on them.

ok i've been looking at the claws and the mud countries both look great, i'm just wondering how well they wear? i have always been told mickeys wear quick, they have real soft rubber? how are they going to hold up on the street comparied to the Maxxis bighorns or BFGs M/Ts k. the price for all these tires from what i have seen are pretty much in the same ballpark.

what u guys think?

What about Toyo Open Country MTs. Good reviews on comfort and wear. Good looking too. They are on the orange Full Traction Jeep over on project JK. http://www.project-jk.com/wp-gallery...g2_itemId=4941

All you guys running 35's, are you going to regear or just live with the decreased performance? That is my on going dilema. Is it that noticeable with 4.10s?

Default This is what I bought

The Toyo MT 295-70-R17 they go on tomorrow, wish me luck....with no lift.... rare size, mean side tread, nice highway ratings, a bit heavy but heard go things... VERY expensive I found!
