Default Gibson dual exhaust install question

Does anyone know if you can manage to fit the dual exhaust from Gibson with the factory receiver hitch? From what I see of the Mopar part, it looks like it clears the stock muffler the way the tow hook does but I don't know for sure about the Gibson one. Can anyone help out?

yes it fits - i have it installed -

however, the muffler does not increase horse power - it actually loses HP in low range and you will lose MPG -

Also there is a drone in the cabin -

I am really bummed with this muffler -

Good news is that Gibson have been very helpful and are finding out why the performance decrease is happening -

Yes the hitch fits fine.

I have the Gibson dual exhaust, horespower and MPG (about 2 MPG) increased significantly. I also have an AEM intake. The Gibson muffler also sounds great.

IonZone, does the dual exhaust have the low V8 sound or the high kinda ricer sound. I am currently looking at the gibson dual exhaust but the sound it makes will determine if I buy it. I hate the high pitched ricer sound.

the sound is somewhere between the two you mentioned -

v6 will never sound like a v8 - best description is that it sounds like an Cesna Plane -

I think Gibson is making some changes to the muffler -

After I ran into my problem, the did a dyno on it last week and the increase was only 4HP at high rpm's.

The advertised increase is 15-20HP - they are doing some work to find out what the problem is - probable needs more back pressure -

Gibson has been very nice and they are really working on a solution -

The sound is kind of in the middle. It's not the deep rumble of a V8 but it is not high pitched and tinny sounding. At lower speeds/rpms the sound has a lot of bass to it. When you get the RPMs up (3000+) the sound is loud but not as deep.

Overall I like it and I wouldn't change it.

Sounds like the gibson will be one of my next purchases. Thanks Ion.
