im a welder. do it everyday. about ten years now. the way i welded mine on was about an inch at a time. let it sit for about ten mins and weld another inch. i wrapped the ball joint with a wet rag. worked out good. not sayin thats the way to do it, its just how i did mine. i too have been running dana 30s for long time but the one under my jk the c's look smaller to me so i added the gussets and sleeves. like few guys have said its cheap ins.
