Going with 35's - Heard I need C Gussets??
no problems yet 35's and D30....although they only measure about 33.75 (BFG MT's)I think many more folks run them without anything especially if it's mostly a daily driver.
you'll definitely want the AEV Procal too.......shifts alot better(smoother) and turns off the TPMS light too

Just look at it as cheap insurance. Once you bend the Cs and the tubes your gonna spend alot more than 500.00 ... Just always think preventative maintenance.... They do bend and they will bend eventually.
depends on the kinds of roads you drive on or when's the next time you go wheeling. it really doesn't take much to bend them - hitting potholes or going off curbs will do it little by little.
eh, when talking about tire size, we're always referring to what's written on the sidewalls and NOT what they actually measure up to.

being in the LA area it should cost you about 500.00 with sleeves and gussets and LCGs installed. Yes I recommend doing this even if you are running around on stock tires and lift.

May be a dumb question, but can someone tell me why they will bend easier? As far as more weight it shouldn't matter because the same weight (of the jeep) is sitting on the rims/tires. Is it the increased rotating weight and force against the gusset to stop the mass when wheeling/flexing?
More of a leverage issue than a weight issue from what I understand.
I've run 35's without gussets for a year and a half wheeling in rocks and gulches several times. No issues with C's or axle tubes. However, it is cheap insurance. I just ordered mine - now I just need to remember who I know with a welder that owes me a favor.

Crap, so on my 2012 Rubi with 35's I need to do this? Even as a DD with minor (for now) wheeling? Don't even know what this is, lol.... It never ends! Another thing to try to sneak by the wife!!

point taken ....just thinking I would definitely go 35's over 33's.....and if there's a huge concern smaller 35's may be in order
Believe me, I went through that on my last jeep 07 Wrangler........285's and then wished I went 35's......2" spacer lift....and eventually a coil lift.
sounds like youre trying to do it right the first time
and yes....eventually I'll do the gussets......I would just take it easy off road until then

I think it depends on the wheeling your going to do. If your going to run "Hells Revenge" that would be a C bender. In Illinois were flat with mud and no rocks to play on like out west. If you want to add them its not going to hurt and may give you a piece of mind. But from where we live you could get by without them.
