Maybe this is a dumb question... but this couldn't happen on the blackwall variants, could it? I'm assuming they are black all the way through..?

What happened to your tires sucks, but I'm glad I saw it. I will be getting these in 37's soon and prefer to run the white lettering out. This never happened to my BFG mud's. I would hate to pay that kind of money and not have the manufactor stand behind them. There should be a warrantee for workmanship I hope.

I love those tires!

they are the chit... they stick on anything I threw at them.. snow, mud, and Rocks.. they will be my second set of tires when I wear the ones I have.
very quite for a 42" road manners are great.

and I think they are the perfect look for all the sizes they make!

They are light compared to most tires. and the sidewall is just beef!!

do you have warranty on your tires? sorry this might have been asked before.. but those tires you have sure are F*&ked!!

here it's at 3PSI

Awesome man, congrats, I feel a little better about picking up some goodyear tires instead of my usual BFGs.

I like my MTR's. Never had a better crawlin and street tire, and never though 40's could ride so good on the road.

Goodyear conceded. They decided to go ahead and actually honor their own warranty after all! Yay! Well... partially honor. They're crediting me $175 towards each of the 4 messed up tires. Oh well... they're meeting me more than halfway, I'm happy. Not overjoyed, but a heck of a lot happier than I've been the past ~4-5 months :p

So I'll have me some new meats and wheels by this time next week.
Hopefully these MT/R/Ks will hold up better.
Good to hear they are doing something for ya.
I had an issue with some procomps and they sent me 5 new tires and covered the cost to swap em out.
Sold em and now have the MTR's. love em.

So I'm running MT/R's w/ Kevlar again. THIS time, I've got the full blacks - no white letters. These ones supposedly don't have the same problem the white-lettered ones have. (? really ? - I dunno... not white rubber underneath? *shrug*)

Anyway... I went offroad Saturday in a light rain most of the day. I hit some very nasty trails - notoriously bad trails... four fingers and "can opener". You can imagine how can opener got its name. And the rocks were very slick from the light rain. Raining just hard enough to keep things slick and cold.
Even knowing what to expect, I was amazing at the amazing traction I got. I watched this guy in front of me again and again get hung up for want of traction, and I would walk up the rocks with little trouble.

I can't complain about the performance of these things. Wow. I just really hope they don't go all ugly like my old ones.

35x12.5R17's - brand spankin' new - pre-wheelin.
The silica in MT/R Kevlar was put in place specifically to address traction capability across extremely aggressive terrain with wet rock climbing in mind And don't worry, the black sidewalls have no white rubber in them so you won't experience the same issue again.

I just switched away from MTR's to IRok's. I split the side walls on all 5 tires. yes I run on the rocks about 15psi. Overall I had about about 5000 miles on them. IRoks are quieter too and seem to stick to wet rocks better. I am going to 40" IRoks next.
