Just don't hold that wheel if you roll! It will spin and jerk as the tires slam off the ground. It's kinda like don't grab the roll bar or you may lose a few fingers.

I have the MasterCraft handles and am 6ft 1. They don't bother me but they also don't hang very low compared to others I've seen.

I just made some today for my JK. I used garbage disposal heavy duty tubing (you can find it at Lowe's or Home Depot) which I cut to size and heavy duty black boot laces. I bought four laces and strung two through each grab handle tube and then proceded to tie each one to my roll bars on each side. Cost me less than 10 bucks! I tied them up just high enough where they are still easy to find and grab, but not dangling too much (I would say not more than a half inch. If anyone is interested in doing this I would be happy to post pics, but if no one cares that's cool too. The point is that my homemade ones dangle far less low than almost all the ones I have seen for purchase online. I will say that the gnarly grips that I saw online looked like they did not dangle too low either. I am going to the beach at the outer banks soon and decided to make some grab handles for better safety for those who like to ride trashman style on the side of my jeep when we drive from the beach house over to the ocean. I have enough tube left to make two more for the back. I think I am going to do that tomorrow, just need to buy four more black boot laces at CVS.

I had some El Cheapos in my TJ that could be stretched flat when not in use. Might be an option.

I am shorter than 6'2" but I don't even notice the handles anymore. They sure work great when your a shorter person trying to get into a lifted rig.
