Default Grease and Lube - Recommendations/Tips

Gonna be installing a new RK 2.5 Max Travel lift on my '13 JKU. Any specific grease or lube recommended? Any particular maintenance procedures, materials, or tips that you would suggest or recommend?

Please be very specific on any parts, materials, etc.

Thanks.

Before you adjust the ends of the control arms/track bars remove the ends completely and apply a heavy layer of anti-seize on the threads. This will make any future adjustments possible and much easier. Then coat the exterior of the knuckles with WD-40 every three months if you're in a North East type climate.

If your wondering what grease for zerks, just get the cheap black grease. The quality of the grease is way less important than the frequency of greasing.

Rock Krawler recommends a quality poly graphite blend on their joints.

...But as noted above, frequency is king. I usually re-torque components and do one quick pump in each zerk every oil change, or after any harsh wheeling adventures. Only takes 10-15 minutes and you'll have less wear and squeaky noises.

Mixing different greases with different base stocks can cause problems. Best to stick with a high quality, multipurpose full synthetic based lithium/moly grease like Valvoline SYNpower. It's great for everything from CV and U-joints to suspension to winch gears. Good from -40 to 400 degrees F. I get it at local auto parts store.
