I used some spray on bed liner from autozone. It came in a spray paint can. I did my hitch door hinges and pinch corners. Do light coats even if you can still see color through the bed liner. If you do it too thick it will just become like thick spray paint. Do light coats and let it stiffen up between coats. I went guns blazing on my hitch and it took over 10 hours to dry because was so thick.

When I said even if you can still see the car paint. I mean if the first 2 coats don't get it don't worry. You can get it on the next few coats.

Ya I went crazy using rustoleum bedliner on my hitch and it was still not dry after 6 hours. By that time I was trying to reinstall in the dark.
