I tighted the rear sway bar while the jeep was off the ground. then was told that you should tighten it while it is back on the ground, would this be the problem? any other ideas? Thanx

Do you have these instructions? They were updated a little while ago.

is the wiggle in the front or the rear?? when you hit bumps is the steering wheel going back and forth?? did your bb come with shocks??

if you have checked your brackets for movement, and everything is tight, swaybars in and installed, shockes etc.. check your tire air pressure....inspect the steering dampner/stabilizer look for leakage or upgrade to heavier one...have alignment checked or done....

it wiggles in the back if you push on the back and the front if you push on the front. the shocks came with the kit. there were no instructions with them at all. maybe there installed incorrectly? the hardware seemed pretty straight forward, i put a metal curved washer thingy then a rubber thing then the rod through the perch then another rubber piece and the other metal thing followed by the nut on top. <------- I sound really dumb!!!

here's what i would do.... ditch the rear track bar bracket.

I ran that lift for 5000 miles with no track bar bracket and no problems.. DITCH IT!

if it fixes the problem then great.. if not all u need is a big socket and a wratchet strap to put it back on ... the rest of that lift is so basic that it has to be that bracket!!!

If it is a violent shake in the front end then I would almost gaurantee its the steering stabilizer/dampner. It sounds like I went through the same thing you did. I didnt know what the hell it was, but when I went over bumps and train tracks it would shake very bad and I always had to slow down to get it to stop. I took it into the dealer and I drove with the tech to duplicate the problem. He imediatley said it was "The Death Wabble". We got back to the dealership and he replaced the steering dampner and the problem was solved. It took him all of 5 minutes.
