Im about to change the oil in my differential (singular ), and want to go ahead and replace the shity gasket job my dealership did and repaint the cover becasue its chippin up in some places, so has anyone painted your stock covers and how did you go about doin it? Thanks

 

Yes, mine back one was all rusted and my muffler was discolored as well.

I bought a rattle can of flat black high-temp barbecue paint and sprayed them both.

I didn't even mask anything off. The black treatment underneath on a Yellow and Black Jeep worked great!

 

I hit mine with flat black whenever I ding them up offroad. I don't really care about anything but rust though..

 

Just get a set of Riddler or Solid diff covers and paint them, trust me they look much better than the stock covers.

 

Thanks guys for the input, i just wanna clean it up a bit, i might hit it with a silver to match the jeep but we'll see, id like to get a riddler cover but for my usage and because of money ill stick with the stock one for now.
