About a month ago I decided to take advantage of Northridge 4X4's sale on Truck Lite LED headlights with anti-flicker harnesses for $399. Shipping was quick, it was well-packaged, and install was an absolute breeze.

I was incredibly impressed with everything about these headlights. They look great on the Jeep, they cast a bright, wide, white light, and the "x's" that they cast don't bother me at all.

I went to Japan for two weeks for work and I left my Jeep on base untouched while I was gone. Just a few days ago, I noticed that one of the lights is noticeably more dim than the other, and has a purple-ish tint to it. I pulled the grill off the Jeep and swapped sides to find out if it's the headlamp assembly, or the wiring harness that's causing the issue. Sure enough, the problem didn't go away when I swapped sides. The high beams both emit an equal amount of light, so I'm guessing there's an issue with the low beam LED bulb.

I've contacted Truck Lite and they sent me return info via email, the only issue with that is I've already thrown away my stock headlight assemblies, as I wasn't expecting any issues with $400 headlights. I'm hoping Truck Lite will send me a replacement unit first so I don't have to go without a headlight assembly for however long this process takes.

I've read through many threads and it seems like the most common issue with these lights is flickering, which hasn't happened at all with mine. Has anybody else ran into this issue with their Truck Lites?

We are the proud few that have been given the chance to be used as guinea pigs for many of these products.. Well something like that.. Sorry no I've not had this issue mainly because I still have the stock headlights.. but your image clearly shows the purple haze.
GL with your endeavors.

The simple solution and what is common in high dollar item returns, is that they charge you for the new headlight and once you get it and send the bad one back, they will credit you.

Every product has some failure rate. It probably isn't truck light, but the bulb itself. It's not reasonable to ask them to take the business risk of sending out product to people who say they have a problem.

I just did the same thing with Yukon on a new $1k locker that had a defect. I was charged $1k for the locker they sent out and they will credit me when they get the defective one back.

I had a similar issue with my KC Led headlights. One of the lamps highbeam bulb didn't work. I contacted KC and was told a similar story. Send it back and if they find its defective they'd send me a new one. Or buy a new set and they'd credit me. Fortunately I ordered them from Amazon and was able to swap them out without any issue or downtime.

If you were closer to me I'd let you bum mine for a week or so until the replacements came in. I've got the Truck Lites also but kept the stockers as spares just in case! If you want to make the 1 hour drive South I'll loan them to you.

I have had 3 kc headlights get condensation in them. Every time I pay for new ones at a lesser charge they send them out I return them and they refund my credit card so I have no down time. I did buy them from Amazon. I wasn't aware I could exchange them via Amazon. How does that work? Thanks

Here's an update for anyone that saw this or may see this:

I got in touch with Trucklite and told them about the situation. Without any proof of purchase, or even them asking me for photos of it, they sent me a replacement headlight assembly. I just got back from a trip so I really don't know how long it took to ship, but either way, that's excellent customer service if you ask me. I've installed the replacement assembly and everything is looking great so far. I now feel confident that I made the right decision buying from Trucklite.
