Default Having ride quality issues Shock/Coil setup.

hey everyone

I have a 15 JK running JKS 2.5 coils and Falcon Shocks(2.1 series). its loaded down with all the extra armor and weight.I have been having this problem ever since I went to the falcon shocks, Ride on road is improved and more comfortable , but off road I feel like im going to lose my organs. After even a few minutes on rocky terrain at slow speeds I feel sick and like I want it to just be over with!

To ME it feels entirely too soft. I never had this feeling when I had the Fox shocks on it that the kit came with.
Is this a problem anyone else has had?

thinking about switching over to something stiffer like the Bilstein 5100s....

I have no idea about Falcon shocks, but I thought you wanted softer settings for off-roading, and stiffer settings for street use. Perhaps I have it backwards. I am sure a shock sage will chime in soon and give you some good input.

Are the 2.1's not the adjustable shocks? I think you've got a good question for @TeraFlex . They should be able to give you some solid advice without wasting cash.

negative. the 2.1s are non adjustable.

the best way to describe it would be if I were to hit a speed bump at idle speed (5mph or less) at a 45 degree angle, you will get almost tossed around once or twice more than id like. it feels like the shocks aren't doing their job.

maybe they don't pair well with the coils.

You generally want softer shocks for off road unless it is high speed off road. On road soft as well unless you like to do high speed cornering. I would be interested in the set up you have. How much shaft showing at ride height and how much travel until you hit the bumps. From your description I would guess you have limited up travel and are bottoming out off road. I see this a lot with JK's as they tend to run too much travel in the shocks and don't leave room in the suspension for up travel,
