Headlight housing compatability...
Hey all,
I'm running HID conversion lights in my stock housings. While very bright and not too bad, I am looking for a better housing. Does anyone know if the following TJ housings may fit on the JK:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_500.htm
http://www.quadratec.com/products/97017_601.htm
Or if those will not fit does anyone have any feedback on how well the delta guad-bar JK headlight housings work?
http://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_301.htm
Thanks guys!

the first ones are just like the stock ones so i see no reason to go with those.
The second ones are the ones i would go with (out of the ones you listed). there are better ones out there though.
The quad bars havent had great feedback. Not worth the cash.
Pretty much any 7" headlamp will work, some better than others.

I have the Hella E-Codes and that is one AMAZING sharp cutoff! IPFs are some of the best.
Or if you can shell out the cash - Cibies.
Basically the best LEGAL answer is to stay away from HID in halogen housings.. period.

The stock H13 bulbs SUCK, period. My dad has silverstars in his rubi, and its a TINY bit better on low beam and even worse at high beam.
Right now the best h13 bulb out there are uncoated clear bulbs at 55w. Which is - STOCK. There are plenty of blue bulbs and stuff, but nothing is brighter than a stock bulb.
Trust me, invest in some E-Code lens and some H4 bulbs. Even a standard H4 puts out twice the brightness of the stockers, maybe even 3x. My Osram Hyper 80/85watt with a harness and Hella E-Codes are about 10x brighter. Its like I have floodlights in front of me on low beam and spotlights at high beam. I can see sign reflections 2 to 3 miles away on flat terrain.

But right now, NorthRidge4x4 has the IPFs in stock soon. Dave from NorthRidge is a member and a sponsoring vendor on these forums. Awesome service.

I do know that the IPF lens optics are very very good! I had them on my cherokee. But I think rallylights includes a harness with theirs.

Yeah I realize that Northridge will have the housings and bulbs but like I said, I will be putting my HID conversion into the housings so I do not need regular bulbs. The extra cost is not worth it.
I found the Hella E-Code lights on Quadratec but it says they will not fit the JK....any modifications required to make them fit or will they fit right up and Q-tec just doesn't know?
Thanks all.
