Default Headrest Swap

Ok - this is weak complaint, but the headrests in the JK are like rocks and wondering if anyone has sorted out swap... I haven't had the motivation (or desire to deal w/ the sales folks) to head to the dealer and test fit from other jeep vehicles, but thinking maybe the new Liberty or Patriot might fit.

Anyone figured out a swap? Thx

I don't get the headrest thing....

The headrest is designed to prevent whiplash, not to make it comfortable to sleep while driving. When driving you should not have your head on the rest anyhow. Mine hits the middle of my head just where it is suppose to.

I guess if you sleep or camp in it you might want a more comfortable rest, but it is fine to me.

I hope you find one that suits your needs.....

Actually the ones from the GC fit I believe,, I've bumped the back of my head on them bouncing around off-road and it doesnt feel good. I'm planning on getting some from a GC and getting a upolstry shop to make them look like the JK ones, stiff but not as rock hard as the factory ones..

Exclamation break them in

Just sit in your JK and slowly press your head against the middle as hard as you can. Do that a few times and you can feel the head restraint start to soften up... At least it works for me...

Just tried the WK headrests - no fit. The headrest prongs (?) do fit, but they don't go far enough in and they hit the roll bar before the seat can go fully upright.

That is exactly my problem. My head is touching it driving down the road and I have to tilt my head forward. If they were adjustable, I wouldnt really care how hard they are.
