Default Hello JK-Forum!!

Hey, I am new on here as of ten minutes ago and have a question for everyone. Firstly though, thanks for all the great ideas and posts. I am looking forward to using all the great tips and ideas to add some mods to my Jeep to really make it mine.

My usage: It's my daily driver and I don't offroad much more than some mountain camping and whitewater trips, so I won't be going too crazy. Anyway, I have read and read and just can't find the answer to this specific question. I'm sure someone out there knows!

So, I just got my JK a few weeks ago. It's stock with the 16's on it and I have just purchased 17" Black Rock Vipers for it with Firestone Destination M/T's getting installed on them this week. Now, due to finances, (or lack thereof) I can't get the lift on it for two weeks, maybe three. Ulitmately, I am looking at a 2.5" or 3" lift (Probably Teraflex) to give it some height without being too high for 17 inch tires. In the meantime, can I throw those 17" rims and M/T's on it without the lift? Obviously I know 17inch tires will fit, but the meatier M/T's have caused me some concern. The rims are 17" by 9 inch with a 4.5 BS. The tires are 265/70R/17. What do you all think? Will they fit before the lift is installed? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Welcome! You don't need a lift for that size tire. I had that size (Cooper) when i bought my jeep and they fit/looked pretty good without a lift.
