Default Help - Daystar tailgate bump stops

Will the daystar bump stops work to securely mount my 33/12.50/17 cepak/pro comp 7005 spare to my stock tire carrier. I had this mounted with my stock rubber bump stocks for a short period of time until the squeeking and squeeling became unbareable. I quiclkly put the stock tire back on and the noises stopped. The stock bump stops did not make contact with the new tire. The noise it was making was not a metal grinding sound and upon inspection the tailgate appears to be undamaged. At this time I can't afford to buy a new bumper/carrier or high end carrier( or-fab or aev). Will the daystar's work until I can purchase a new carrier? The pro comp 7005's I'm running have a 4.75" backspace. Thanks!

Yep will work perfectly. Doesn't hurt its cheap insurance to save your tailgate too.

order them soon, they've been on backorder everywhere for about 6 weeks.

Called Northridge today, still on backorder. Ended up getting a set on Amazon

I ordered a set back in August from Quadratech...got them about 2 weeks ago. However....they do not touch my tire. I have a 35" Nitto Trail Grappler on a 18" XD Addict. I had to buy the spacer/extender for the stock carrier to get the tire onto the carrier. They are about 3/4" too short. Ugh...saving like crazy to get that PSC Brawler bumper/tire carrier!

I'm looking for a set. You have that amazon link? I searched and nothing came up. Quadratec and 4wdparts on backorder also.
wonder if I can fabricate some out of a chunk of rubber by whittling it down or gluing a rubber ball to end of stock bumpstops. I'm thinking maybe I can slip a kong over the existing ones.
Its not like anyone is going to see it.

I had a worsening squeeking noise from my spare when I switched to steel rims with less offset. Finally figured out I just hadn't tightened the spare onto the carrier enough and there was a little movement around one of the studs that was progressively getting worse. My bump stop extensions are trimmed down plastic door stops that just slide into the stock stops.

I just purchased a set from Stylin' Trucks. What is the best way to cut them? I was thinking a table saw might work to get a perfectly straight cut.
