Somewhere on here is a thread about slipping a piece of heater hose inside the stock stops and trimming that to fit, I bought a set of daystars and never put them on . They don't seem like they will contact the tire squarely enough to matter. gonna try the heater hose trick first. Also seems like they should have placed one at the bottom to help dampen tire movement IMO.

About 2 years ago, I made my own spacer/extender to fit my spare proper and then I used heater hose inside the bump stops. Have never had an issue, and it is cheap!

Can you give details on your homemade spacer/extender? Thanks

I will have to see if I have any pictures on my work computer, if not I might be able to get a chance to take my spare off and snap a few.

But basically, it is just like any space/relocator that you can purchase. Except that mine is spaced up and out just enough to fit my tire size. I allowed for the tire to be just touching the bumper enough that when the gate is closed the extended bump stops and the bumper itself are holding the tire firmly. No vibrations or squeaking at all. I also made it so that just like the stock mount, 2 lugs are at the top and one lug is at the bottom.

I likewise did something like this. Because my 35's are on stock rims, the backset is deeper on my rims and the spare doesnt hang out as far. I made an oval shaped plate out of 3/4" thick aluminum and inverted and shifted the bolt pattern up 1". I made my own brakelight spacer and looks almost stock. (made a couple prototypes before getting it right) Just got lucky be keeping stock wheels.

I just received my mbrp spacer and it was off camber (first pic) and I was looking for a spacer that would allow my tire to rest on my bumper when gate is closed. (2nd pic) I will look for a typical wheel spacer or have my buddy fabricate me one.
