Default HELP!! Death Wobble

So I have an 08 Jeep 2 door JK and it had the stock ugly steel sport rims on it with chrome hub caps and 225/70/r16. I replaced them with 17" rubi wheels and 255/75/r17 tires now I have the death wobble if I hit a bump at 50mph please tell me how to fix this it scared the crap out of me o the freeway the other day and I don't want my wife driving it like this either

Did you have the tires balanced?

wheels out of balance can cause a shimmy. (I have some mud in my wheels right now that's causing a little bit)

Now shimmy and death wobble are 2 different things. Do you have to come to a complete stop before the DW stops? Also, are your lug nuts all tight to specs?

Switch back to your other wheels and see if it still happens.

It could just be a coincidence that you are noticing it after you changed to the Rubi wheels.

Lugs are all tight and and this is more than a shimmy it shakes my whole jeep I have to slow down to about 10mph for it to stop and then I can get back up to speed, I'll put it this way I had my phone in the tray on top of the radio and it somehow ended up between the passenger seat and the door

No if it did this before I would have definitely noticed it when it happens it almost pulls you off the road

I would reinstall your original wheels and see if it happens or not. This will eliminate the wheel as being the problem or not. If it does do it when you do reinstall your original wheels then you know you have a problem with the Jeep. If it does not do it once you have reinstalled your original wheels then you know that the Rubi wheels are the problem.

I had this happen when I broke my rear lower shock mount.

An off balance tire can initiate DW but are not the cause. A steering stabilizer will only mask it. You most likely have a loose track bar or another loose or worn part in your front end.
