Default help - dull thud when steering

So I put in a ranch 4in sport suspension lift back in december. It's been running fine but today when driving around I started to hear a dull thud when turning. It seems to handle the same. I think the drag link is moving around more than it should though. I checked the bolts and everything appears to be tight. It does have some play when I move the drag link up and down so I'm wondering if anyone has run into this? I'm wondering if now of the ball joints on the drag link went bad. I was looking at the bar and I think it actually may be bending a little. I don't know if it had a slight bend to begin with. I'm waiting for my digital camera to charge so I can post some pics.

So if the drag link is bad I may go with the Evolution flip drag link. If I put this on do you know if I need to put the original pitman arm back on? I think I do just wanted to make sure.

I know some people do an adjustable track bar when the do all this and I was also wondering if I can do the drag link without doing the track bar. it has the track bar relo bracket that came with the lift kit.

I'll post pics in a little while but if anyone has any suggestions let me know.
Thanks

ok got enough charge to take a couple of pics. one pic is of the drag link length wise. the other 2 are of the ball joint flexed up and then down. I'm not sure if those things go bad and if they do how do you know.

thanks

pretty sure the draglink rotating is normal since it is a balljoint

yeah i know it rotates since it is a ball joint but I guess i'm wondering if it's moving too much. Also I don't know if that drag ling is supposed to have that slight curve. I know someone mentioned to be before that with the dropped pittman arm adds more pressure to the drag link than stock.

That looks normal to me as well, as long as they don't actually have up and down play in them (straight up, not rotating). With a thud sound, very possible the track bar could be moving in the mount(s). It should be torqued to 125 both ends, and also the lower control arms at 125. The track bar mounts have been known to "wallow" out, too. If torquing it doesn't help, or if you get someone to work the steering wheel back and forth from 10 O:clock to 2 O:clock, and see it moving at either end, remove the bolt and check for the hole being round or ovalled out. The factory bolts are actually slightly small for the hole. A 9/16" find thread shoulder bolt 4" long fits much tighter/better in both ends.
