Removed my stabilizer, had a friend turn the wheel lock to lock and saw no problems. Couldn't find any leaking from the power steering box.

Drove it and it still does the same thing but not as bad. Wtf?

Have I bent an axle or the houseing? I don't get any vibrations....

It is a very lite feeling, I could hold the wheel and fight it but it just kicks backs slightly mostly turning to the right and only under power. If i let off the accelorator its not as bad. Also, only when turning from a complete stop..example- pulling out from a parking spot or turning onto a road and accelerating.
Ummmm, I used to notice this when I first got my Sahara. Any chance you've got the LSD in the rear?

No, Open diffs, I know what LSD feels like. This is in the steering wheel or power steering system.

I'm gonna try to ask a specific question:

Has anyone damaged their power steering box? Broken off a tooth or bent the shaft?

If so, what did the steering feel like when it happened?

Have you checked the brake rotors...maybe one is loose or hanging up.....also the tires are not hitting the control arms when maxed out to either side ?

Sometimes that happens with incorrect backspacing...

I wish it was either one of those but its not. It started happening 1 week after my lift and alignment. Didn't happen right away. Strained the power steering system some this past weekend on the rocks but no bad noises from it. The steering wheel just fights back weakly

help please. I'm moving to Colorado in a month and I need to figure this out.

No strange noises from the power steering box/pump.

Mostly the steering wheel feels like its in 4wd low when turning from a stop.

Does not do it at speed or on an off ramp.

Can't find anything bent in the steering system and no major leaks from the steering box.

Lift kit was installed and checked properly, Alignment was done. Started doing this 1 week after the alignment.

I don't just want to go out and spend $400 on a new box if thats not the problem, but I also don't want to be 1,000 miles into my trip to colorado and my steering gives out.

Please, any brainstorming is requested

Heres another thing I noticed. Only when turning full right my right side tire just nicks the lower control arm enough to rub off some paint, it does not do it on the left side.

Does this mean my axle is aligned more to the right or does it mean my steering stop is adjusted wrong?

There are a ton of things that could be?

Did you have it aligned by a proffesional after the suspension was installed? Sorry if we missed that?

Did you go wheeling with it after?

Could you be mistaking ESP activation for the front end feeling like it is in 4wd on the pavement?

I had Hi-tech do the alignment - modified suspension alignment
I went wheeling after I noticed the issue
my ESP/BAS/ABS have all been permanently disabled by a switch mod.
