Help with lift.....
Need a little help here and have be getting so many different answers. I am purchasing a 4 door 08 rubi automatic and want to put 35s with a 4' lift on it. My question is beside purchasing the lift what else will I need to buy (new driveshafts, adjustable track bar, ...) in order to run this set up? And do any of the lift kits come with everything needed? Any comments on this one http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_4.html . Great price but if there is one that comes with everything needed I would rather purchase that. Thanks in advanced for the help.

Honestly I feel like you get what you pay for. So saying that I am willing to spend what ever it cost but obviously I dont want to spend a bunch of money when I could of gotten the same thing for a cheaper price or buy something I didnt need.
So basically I dont want to buy a whole bunch of extra stuff with the lift I get (exttended drive shafts, etc..) when I do not need them.
So thats why I am trying to figure out exactly what I would need to buy along with a 4" lift to run my rig.

now, if you are looking for a very complete kit that comes with everything you could need, i can tell you that i have run a full traction 3" and 4" ultimate lift and a teraflex 4" flex arm lift and i have installed a few currie rock jock kits and a clayton kit and they all come with everything except for drive shafts.
this is a great starter kit and while id does come with everything you need to make it work, i would recommend that you get a set of adjustable lower front control arms instead of using the cam bolts that come with it. being that you will be getting a 4-door, you will not need to replace your rear drive shaft but if you are getting an automatic, you will need to get a new u-joint style front drive shaft. if you can afford it, i would also recommend that you get adjustable front and rear track bars as well. this is the bare minimum of what you will need to ensure good ride quality.

It will be an automatic. Sorry I didnt mention it in the original post (just edited it though). So if I was to create a list for this you are saying that I would need:
-The lift kit itself
-Adjustable lower front control arms (instead of using the cam bolts)
-U Joint style front drive shaft
-Adjustable front and rear trackbars
Is this correct?
I want to know all this so I can get a total price on the lift so there are no surprises (ie realize that i need another 1000 dollars in parts) when I actualy go to do it.

I have been down this exact road and ended up with a frankinlift--not complaining though.
Here's what i would get for a minimum lift ant 35's.
4 inch lift springs.
Front and rear track bars--I think the drop down brackets put too much stress on the stock components and the pitman arm.
Brake line extension brackets or longer lines--my brackets work just fine.
Of course longer shocks.
Lower front control arms--i ran cam bolts for a while and had no problems.
With that I think you are good to go.
You don't need a front drive shaft right away, but my stock front hit the transmission pan which eventually required I replace the pan. Go with a JE reel OE drive shaft unless your going to do a ring and pinion change at the same time. With the crush sleeve i don't think its a good idea to replace the pinion yolk unless you break down the whole front end and do it right.
With that said, I was very happy with my superlift and was able to get it at a deal for 500$, I already had the rear track bar and added the currie lower control arms.
After looking at the quality of their stuff and if was starting from Scratch. i would go Currie all the way.

I'd get this kit: http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_4x.html
with: http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...od=RE-1883-365 and
http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...p?prod=RE-1810 for front driveshaft set up
and these discos because the Rubi discos won't work with this lift: http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...?prod=JKS-2034
and these trac bars: http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...rod=JKS-OGS121
http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...rod=JKS-OGS159
Totals:
Trac bars: $280 front and rear
Front D.S.: $363
D.S. adaptor: $83
Discos: $140
Lift kit with CA's: $860
TOTAL: $1726!
Now, you will have everyone telling you that you can't do this without ADJUSTABLE CONTROL ARMS!! I say B.S.! Look at it this way, the JK comes from the factory without adjustable CA's. Why? Because the control arms were made to specifically work with the specifications of the stock suspension. So why is it that an aftermarket suspension manufacturer is incapable of making fixed control arms that match the exact specifications of their lift? They can, and they do! You'll hear everyone say "But you have to set your pinion angle, or you"ll start breaking things", blah, blah, blah. If your angle is already set properly, like it is from the factory, then why do you have to mess with it any further? You don't!
And, if you wanted to, you can just get the Tom Woods extended front driveshafts, directly from Rough Country for $500 more. Just get in touch with Ben over there and he'll get you hooked up on the lift and D.S.!
If you really feel inclined to believe all of the people on here that will tell you that you can't possibly have a great handling rig without adjustable CA's, then still get the RC kit with the CA's, cut the fixed ends of one side of them, thread the cut end of it, and insert the replacement ends that a lot of vendors here sell, and you will then have adjustable CA's for a lot less money!
First off do the prices I listed sound right and second of all does anyone have an estimate on how much an adjustable lower front control track arm would cost?
Once again I am just trying to get a total price in price for the lift.
