Default Help me pull the trigger on a superchip!

What are you guys seeing in mpg gains? Not that I give a shit, but having this info would really be helpful in explaining to the wife why I NEED one of these!

Some have reported 1-2 mpg better. Others say they lost mpgs. Others say no change. It seems to vary from rig to rig. I have an Airaid CAI as well as the flashpaq and even with my bigger, heavier tires, I'm back to around stock mpgs.

Using the "87 Performance Tune" from Superchips, my automatic Unlimited Rubicon with 35s now accelerates sooooooo much faster than it did with 32" stock tires.

That doesn't save me any MPG, but it's definitely made me move "regear" down the list of mods I want to do.

Superchips does have a tune that sounds like it'd improve mileage, but I've had so much fun with how my JK handles the last two weeks with the "performance" tune, I honestly don't care about mileage at this point. (Well, not entirely true, but...)

Besides, if you get any tires larger than 32", you're going to need to buy something third-party any way to recalibrate the speedometer. Can you use that as an in with your wife?

c'mon man, I told you today what you need to do There are alot more features than just the power gains/mileage. I got my superchips shipped for 300 even. It was very nice to meet you today, sorry my daughter had to use the bathroom but we probably would have shot the shit for hours. Love your setup, can't wait to see your jeep with the rear fenders on. Let me know next time you have a big ride a bit further south and I'll come up and meet you.

Just tell your wife that she'll have to sleep on the couch until you can get your Superchips.

Get the Superchips. Especially if you have an auto.

I just did it. Just so I get this straight, most are seeing 25-50% better mileage right?

Sounds about in the area of what I got. Bone stock I got 22 and almost 23 mpgs during the summer. Once I added the BB and 33" Duratracs I lost 2-3 mpgs, but now that I picked up the Flashpaq I got a little of that back. I know I'm one of the few that even got that much to begin with, but everyone is right. The other gains, like the quicker acceleration, better low end torque and the obvious spedo recalibrate make it worth every penny. Definitely a much easier expense than having to regear right away. And picking one up from Northridge gets you free next day shipping. Can't go wrong with that one!

Recalibrates speedo, better mileage, more power (safer) what's not to love? Not to mention you can pull codes and see what your JK computer is doing...

true, when i ripped my evap canister off I was able to clear my own codes. BTW, my whole family got a kick out of your bumper sticker which reads upside down "if you can read this, don't call my wife "
