Hello all! Bought my first jeep a few weeks ago and I've been having a blast. I wanted to repowdercoat a few things that were a bit worn so I began disassembly of the lightbar brackets that bolt to the windscreen/a pillars.
One of the nuts that I'm assuming was welded to the windscreen frame has come loose. Despite my best efforts I cannot use a magnet to hold it in place while trying to assemble the OE corner piece and the lightbar bracket.
Surely I'm not the first one to run into this? My only idea was to use a rivnut on it to fix but perhaps there is a better way?
Pic attached incase my ramblings make no sense...where that bolt is sitting is the broken nut behind it. No idea how to get to it....please help!
Possible to tear it down a little further and fold the windshield down? That might give you access to the backside of the area with the nut to retrieve it?

Possibly, but I took the easy way out. M8 rivnut and 2 mins later back together
Highly recommend that route as I like to tinker and imagine I'll be removing this more than once. Pics attached. Decent quality rivnut and tool available on Amazon, around 70$ if you don't have one already.
Good work there. I really hate removing any of those bolts around the windshield. They never want to go back in very well. I think one day I'll end up having to go this nutsert route.
