So I got hung up this weekend and it didn't sink the vehicle it was out in a matter of 2 minutes and the vehicle kept running. Water wasn't anywhere near the air box or "snorkel" that's there currently. I drove it home about 80 miles and 40 miles to work and it drives fine but at low speeds it makes a whining noise and the vehicle is slow to start. I'm hoping for some insight on what to do. Vehicle runs fine just annoying noise.

Change your diff fluid. Is the noise under the hood? Check engine light?

How deep of water were you fording? Its always a good to change out the diff fluid after submerging the diffs. Its pretty easy to get water in their through the breathers. Does the noise only occur when actually moving or when revving the engine.

It was bumper deep and the noise only happens sitting still or moving slow.

Check your accessory pulleys and idler pulley and see if its coming from there. Also meter voltage at the battery with the engine running to make sure the alternator is good to go. Should be at or above 13.8v.
