Default Help!! with Rims

Hi! I'm a newbie with a 2010 Sahara Unlimited. Getting ready to head to shop on Monday to get 3" lift w/ Nitto Trail Grapplers and EAgle 140's. But...in googling for some eagle info, I ran across a post advising that they're not designed for jk's. Now I'm totally confused. Need some advice. Anywhere that I can go that will recommend specific rims for my vehicle? Thanks!

Start by reading the FAQ in this section. As long as the rims meet the diameter, bolt pattern and backspacing requirements you are good to go.

As I understand, the only wheels made specifically for the JK are the AEVs. Not sure how much differeence the hubcentric design makes.

Thanks. Honestly...I know very little about this stuff, so even some of the "faqs" are greek to me. I guess I'll just trust that the shop I'm using knows their stuff. And in the meantime, I'll just keep reading.

X2 on what plan man said. I would go with 16 inch wheels. the 15 inch wheels are a hit n' miss with the brake calipers on the JK.

You're getting a 3 inch lift, so why not get 315/75R16 (34.5x12.3) Nittos on 16x8 Eagle 140 rims with rims with 4.517" of backspacing?

Rims: part number 1402-7850 (color is your preference)

I am not 100% accurate on the part number - I just grabbed it from

What about this is "Greek"?
"Greek" in the sense that I know absolutely nothing about tires, wheels, or pretty much anything automotive. Example: backspacing - but I'm not asking for an explanation. I'm a little embarrassed that I even asked my original question. Might be better if I just attempt to learn a little bit more first. Thanks for the info, though. Every little bit helps.

Right now, we're scheduled to get "17x8 machined 5 on 5". I'm reading this off the receipt, so sorry for the lack of detail. And 35x1250x17 Nittos. Should that work?

Would check on the back spacing. This describes it way better then I ever could:

Thanks so much! I admit...I'm clueless. But hopefully I'll figure all this stuff out eventually.

I checked the same websit that I got the 16x8 rims off of. The 17x8 with the 5x5 uses a 4.517 backspacing and it should be fine with 35x12.50R17 tires.
