Sometimes its bigger sometimes its smaller, but it does seem to go away when i slow down. Im planning on getting some TF lower control arms and a JKS trackbar here soon. Also ill post a picture here in a sec but can someone tell me if my tie rods bent up and if so would that be my cause. I only have money for either the control arms or the tie rod...

Basicly im not sure what it is and its starting to really bother me. Its getting worse and i have a big drive coming up here in a few weeks that i want the jeep ready for. Anybodys help or ideas would make my day!

when you experienced the steering wobble was it Snowy, ICY, or below 32deg and raining, or were you playing in the Mud? The reason I ask is that I too experienced some pretty rough wobbing in the steering recently during a snow storm. I had ripped through a few feet of snow then parked the jeep for an hour or so while I was at the store it was probably about 28deg outside. On my way home that night I was afraid to take it above 50 on the highway and even at 50 it didn't feel too safe.

When I got home I pulled it into my garage and rolled underneath and saw ice chunks frozen around axles right behind the two front wheels. I was gonna chip it away but I have a heated garage and was in for the night. Next morning she drove straight. I thought to look for that cuz same thing had happened to my 2003 Audi A4 Quatro about 5 years ago after a bad snow storm.

Ever see the movie "My Cousin Vinny? Vinnies old caddy had what appeared to be like a bent wheel or something...then some local yocal mechanic came over and said "Ya got Mud in yer tires"

Think im goin for the Tie rod then!

I get the wobble in pretty much any situation. Recently i have been driving around in 60 degree sunny days and its still there but it did start in jan after a few snow storms... not sure if that did anything though.

I have a stock tie rod which is 100% straight. I upgraded to the Rock Krawler.
Make me an offer

You can see if this is the issue and if not, you can get the control arms.

Shipping alone will probably be about $30 because of the weight and length.

Nope. You would have to get new ends for the Rock Krawler tie rod. The question lies in how often you go offroading. If you go more than 5 times a year, go with the RK; otherwise a replacement stock would be the answer.

There are no stupid questions cause i asked them all.
No! You cannot use the oe ends , you must purchase moog ends
Part # es-194r for both sides and you'll pay between $65 & $80
The rockrawler tie rod does not come with the tre's, besides, the moog ends are
Greaseable. I'll check a previous post cause the 2nd generation RK tie rods use mopar ends but you can call RK to check first then purchase the tre's before your new tie rod comes in...

it does'nt matter if you go 1 x or 5x you hit a rock once again and your in the same boat, get the RK one and be done with. Get another stock one and you'll alaways be concerned .
