Default Help with Shocks!!

Of course, I am a new jeep owner and new to "DO IT YOURSELF". Can anyone tell me what type of shocks these are and perhaps recommend a decent operating and looking replacement?

They look to be a monotube of some make.
Many people like our adjustable RS9000XL shock, you can have a soft or firm ride when you turn the knob.

Also our Spring rebate is going on, so save some money.

Do you have a lift? We offer different P/N's for various heights.

Also install isn't too hard, rears are easy.
Fronts are a bit of a PITA.
The top bolts are just not fun.
Good luck!

I know this might be a really dumb question. But, how do I know if I have a lift?

Take a couple pictures of your jeep from the front and side, most of us here can tell the stock ride height from a picture. Also take a picture of your springs, and the top of the spring so we might be able to tell if there is a spacer puck. Are there any other upgrades done (bumpers, tires, etc.)?

Best way to measure lift is using the factory measuring points and seeing how much you differ. See pics.

Since you have RC shocks, it's probably a good bet that you have a RC lift. Once you post a few pics we can probably point you at the exact lift on their website.

While you are taking pics, get one of the pitman arm and the upper trackbar bracket (to see if you have a drop pitman), the front control arms (to see if they are stock/fixed/adjustable), and the bolt at the axle end of the front lower control arms (to see if you have cams).
