Help...shop installed my lift wrong!
That really sucks. We have 2 Trick F**k shops within 25 miles of me in Maryland. If they are anything close to these in tech abilities, stay far far away. I hope it all works out though, if not, I would almost be willing to drive to your house and help fix the issue. It does not appear to be very safe to drive like that. I am not a fan of these shops at all.

Did you have an elephant sitting on the hood of your Jeep when you took that pic?
How in the hell did they manage to lower your bump stop by installing a budget boost?
The shocks look compressed too....
Do you have any more pics you can show us, like the top of the coil, where the spacer is supposed to be, or a pic of the Jeep itself?
Is it even sitting taller then when you took it to them?
How in the hell did they manage to lower your bump stop by installing a budget boost?

I would talk to the manager of this place and see what he will do for you. If he gives you sh!t, email him a link to this thread, looks like he has a bunch of monkeys turning wrenches for him. Thats f'ing ridiculous.
I really do feel like a chump. I went outside to look things over to see if anything else was dork'd...and yes, the rear bump stock extensions, the block ones--they were installed facing the wrong direction. The track bar bolt on the passenger side rear had already slammed into it...luckily only leaving a little ding.
I went back inside, at dinner, watched a movie with the wife and kid to cool down a bit, then went out and turned the rear bump stop extensions around.
When I talked to to manager at the shop...get this...he said, "It wasn't in the instructions" that the factory coil spring retainers were supposed to be put back on. So I read through the TeraFlex instructions again...it's pretty clear in the instructions that both the front and rear are supposed to be put back on over the lift spacers. So I guess they don't read too well.
The Teraflex instructions don't say how to orient the rear bump stop extensions...but holy crap...I took one look at the passenger side rear and knew it had to have hit the track bar bolt.
Here's a before and after picture...I was proudly going to post it...yes, lift is evident,...but I hadn't posted it because the bump stop extension thing was really bothering me. But, here it is so you can see the lift (even badly done).

I'll replace this with the corrected version tomorrow afternoon. I don't have any pictures of the lift spacer...but the spring sits really deep into the spacer. I'm going to have them show me the spacers when they fix it so I can make sure they aren't damaged.
Aaargh...I feel like a friggin idiot
- I left because I knew I would be back down by the shop in the morning
-suprisingly the ride didn't seem any different...traveled about 20 miles
- I appreciate the thought of driving to come help me...hell, I'd buy you a case of beer and a bottle of Jack Daniels
I need to hook up with the local Jeep club so I have somebody to call local for some guidance/assistance
- I should have asked you guys about Trick Trucks to get some feedback on their competence before I took it there *cracks self on head...and again for good measure
I really do appreciate all of your feedback. I hope the manager doesn't say something stupid to me tomorrow...they have internet access in prison right? Seriously though...from my experience today, I'm sorry I ever walked into Trick Trucks.
I'm 40 years old, spent 11 years in the Air Force, and I'm finding out in the past few years that things don't work in real life like they do in the military. Military personnel don't necessarily do everything perfectly the first time--but at least there's accountability--if you can't do your job correctly, you can always go to jail. The guys that worked on my Jeep are a danger to the general public. :(
I'll check in the morning to see if anyone has any more advice...thank you all for your feedback. I'll post again tomorrow afternoon...hopefully bringing an end to this saga.

Man I wish you lived closer and we could compare! I also paid to have mine lifted just becuase I did not feel comfortable doing it all myself. I do know enough to tell if it was done right and you do aswell or you would have not have posted.

that might have cued me in that I had some lift missing.I knew something wasn't right...but I overcompensate for my days of being an asshole (and getting the job done right--every time) in the military. I couldn't have imagined they would have f'd something up as simple as putting all the pieces on. I find it excruciatingly frustrating to have to pay for something and have it not be done correctly. I guess that's why there are so many lawyers, since an asswhooping would get a person in trouble :(
Good thing for the manager he agreed to fix it in the morning...or with all that extra time on my hands I probably would have called a lawyer. (not that it would do any good...but might make me feel better...probably not--why can't people just do things right?)
boy that is a screwed up job....a friend and i put mine on in 2.5 hours....now i must say, my directions were so sad i used the write up all the way....just looking at your jeep lifted i wouldnt see a prob, but man that ride should be ruff
read thru the write up and if you can watch them fix it do it, it will be a good learning exp for ya
the directions to use the rear bump stop and jack to push the bump stop ext up in there...is that what they did wrong? here is mine with same lift w/o tires :

does not look much diff than yours, so dont beat yourself up over this....just dont ever use those hacks ever again hehe

When I picked up my Jeep...I thought that's what the problem was, but I checked and they seemed okay. I couldn't imagine why my front bump stop extensions would be so low after a lift.
The rear bump stops themselves were installed facing the wrong direction--the passenger side rear one smacks into the track bar bolt...fixed that already.
They didn't put the factory coil spring retainers back on...the put them on the floor in the back seat of my jeep. The factory spacers are supposed to go over the Teraflex lift spacers--the springs go way to far into the Teraflex spacers. I'm hoping they're not damaged...I just want this to be over with already.
