Default Help with very small lift.

I'm looking to get some 285/75/R16 tires and I would like to clear them with the minimum lift possible. I have aftermarket wheels with less backspacing so I'm only concerned about rubbing on full articulation. Does anyone know if a 3/4" coil spacer lift will do the job? Or will I need to go to a 1 3/4" spacer lift(From Daystar).

Also, does anyone with any more experience know if I'll need anything else such as new springs or shocks if I opt for either of these kits, or is the lift small enough that it won't adversely effect my driving or any of my stock components.

Thanks again for the help.

Just to add to my original thread, according to a tire size calculator the 285's will only be .78 of an inch taller than the stock tires, so I would think a .75" spacer lift would do the job, as I don't think the .03 of an inch will cause too much trouble.

You might get a better response if you converted the tire size from metric to standard. Just google metric tire conversion calculator.

Also, would bump stop extensions be required with the 3/4" spacer lift?

33" tire with no lift is good, but will rub on full flex with sway disconnected.

I put up some pic on this thread:

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/re-2-bb-isntall-just-finished-9422/

That's with 33" tires (285/75/16) and Rubicon Express 2" BB. I've seen one here at my local shop with 33" tires and 1 3/4 daystar kit, and it looks sharp as well.

Cool, thanks for the help. Does anyone know how much of a front lift is required so ther is no rubbing when the sway bar is disconnected?

The 3/4" spacers will be enough for 33's, I went with the 1 3/4" Daystar and have plenty of room.

my wife's jeep will not have the sway bar disconnect ...ever. she uses at her daily driver and just a few mud weekends, so am I correct in seeing that she should be fine with a 33" tire? she just doesnt want it to rub if she has the wheels turned all the way in one direction.

She is wanting a set of black rims to compliment the Jeep. Still looking for the correct set with backspacing that is going to be ok with a 33" tire
