Does anyone else have problems with your hi-lift squeaking a lot. I have the tailgate mount and it's a constant squeak. Any input on how to get it to stop would be great as I might lose my mind soon.

 

Mine does the same thing... annoying as hell! Can't figure out a way to quiet it down.

 

Wrappedbungees around mie (2) that helped a lot. Need to get black bungees so doesnt look so cheesy though.

 

Do any of you wheel? Cause my jack squeak can't even be heard anymore....so many other squeaks....comes with the territory

 

Squeak and rattles annoy me... so after I wheel, I lube everything to avoid them as much as possible. Only been wheeling three times since April when I got the JK.. but two trips are planned in the next month.

 

Eh the noise doesn't bother me at all.

 

WD40. If not available, KY jelly

 

Tried wd40 didn't help. And I wheel a fair ammount.

LOL for the record I didn't actually try using KY. Might get my hi lift too excited.

I think good old grease should work - the kind you squirt into zirk fittings. The squeaks for me come from the base - there's a ton of metal-to-metal contact down there.
