I used threaded rod, wrapped it in black electrical tape and bent it around the roll bar. Got some wing nuts, the hi-lift isolator and mounted it up high behind the back seat. It cost $12 total I think. It is tightly secured, out of sight from thieves, and not going to jab anyone in the head. Cheapest hi-lift mount I have seen!

No dents on hood, wiper spray works, it's clean all the time and not going to come loose unless you unscrew the wing nuts.

**Edit** I have since turned it around, attached the main working part and have it up high off the floor. (I originally had the main working part in the little cubby hole, but wanted to put other 'stuff' there)

I like mine inside, it stays dry and I don't worry about any theft issues. I am not sure how this would work in a four door or with a back set. I have no need for a back seat.....with this set up undo one wing nut and out it comes and there are zero rattles. Good luck.

I have the one from Quadratec but had to return the first one because it didn't fit properly on the 2 door...I now have one that specifically made for the 2 door and it fits perfectly.

It sounds like they make one just for the 2 door. What tires you looking at?? The ones on the jeep in the picture I no longer have. They came with the Jeep from the dealership, they were 33's but I dont recall what they were. Or are you talking about the 35'' KM2's I am running now?

Sorry to throw this off a little.

I may get stomped for asking this, but why do so many people carry a Hi-Lift? I can understand if you have a bumper that has a notch for it and it's easier to lift the jeep/change a tire. But what about using it with factory bumpers? Maybe they have other uses I don't know about?
