Default HIGH STEER NEEDED ? pics inside

Im running an OME HD spring lift on my Unlimited with 35' Toyos, Rock Krawler tie rod, drag link and Tera Flex front lowers. Im at 4.5 degress positive caster...anything more makes my Tom Woods driveshaft rumble. The jeep is vibration free but still wanders a bit. Im wondering if a high steer kit would help the flighty feel or if its more or less going to address bumpsteer. Im not terribly unhappy with the ride but i know it can drive better.....somehow. I just dont want to deal with the vibes.

Another question...front axel is sleeved, gusset'd and has EVO lower control arm skids. Flexed the Jeep out yesterday and snapped both lower control arm zerk fittings off. The fittings were on th topside of the Johnny joints. I guess theres just not enough room in there for the 90 degree grease fittings. Anybody have this problem or an alternative that works? Ddnt reay want to run fittings on the underside of the joint because they'll be toast quick. Any tips on how to get the broken zerks out of the joints?

A draglink flip kit should help tighten up the steering by getting your steering linkage (Draglink) and roll center closer to factory specs.

Zerk fitting, if you dont want to turn it to the under side, then try a straight fitting which are typically shorter or clearance the control arm mount alittle bit with a grinder where it appears to be touching.

Nice looking JK, I like the chopped Sahara Fenders...

I dont know if you tried it, but look for a "Easy Out" Screw/Bolt Extractor set. They are inexpensive and should do the trick.

I have the same issue with the grease fittings. I just put set screws in for driving and screw a fitting in the bottom when I need to grease it. Only takes a couple seconds to swap out and I don't have to worry about them catching on anything.

Your track bar and drag link should be as nearly parallel as possible. A high steer will help to get these angles better in line but is usually not needed with lifts under 3". Are you using an axle track bar mount with adjustable mounting positions?

Andrew...what exactly does the EVO flip kit do other than flip the drag link? Is the trac bar raised? I have and AEV high steer kit...minus the sleeve i'd need for the knuckle. I took it off the axel when i bought it cuz the bracket had a shitload of u-bolts that held it on. I didnt like the idea of a steering bracket that wasnt welded. There was also no way it was going to fit with the EVO gussets.

Put screws in the top? and then a fitting on the lower side when its time to grease? Is that so the grease dosnt come back ou?....sounds like a good idea.
