I looked at those before the purejeeps. They don't seem to look like they fit.

they are a manual step, they will defintely work fine for steps. When in the folded position they do make a little noise,

I just talked with Quadratec and they said they are rated for 300lbs. Good enough for almost 3 wives.

I have them and it's the only way my wife and girls can climb into the jeep. They seem fairly sturdy and have held up to my cow trailing but for hard core 4 wheeling/Rock climbing I think I'd go with something that does not move. I'm very happy with them. I've used a step stool and thrown it in the back when not being used, whatever works!
