Default Hitch plug damage

I was wondering what you guys with the hitch and the electric plug are doing with the plug. I must have caught mine on a rock last weekend and its barely hanging on. Has anyone tucked it in yet?

I smashed my 7 pin elec. connector at camp jeep. I think I'll have my friend weld a door hinge to the frame, then mount the new connector to the hinge.. Should be able to swing it out of the way between the muffler and the frame cross member.

With a 4 pin, you can route it between the stock bumper and the tub. With 3 inches of wire showing, mine has sat on the bumper, hidden by the spare for 2 months of use. When I need it, just reach behind the bumper and pull it back. I also slid some wire loom over the wires to protect against abrasion.

Thats the reason I got the Mopar hitch. It has a bracket to hold the 4-pin.

I have the mopar hitch witch came with 4 pin. The bracket works like beer says. You can grab it & twist it free of the metal tabs.
