Do you mean JK engines are GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS? What if it's a Hemi??? Or a Rubicon?

Cab facing vents create a LOW PRESSURE area, like on the Mustang Cobra's... They literally PULL hot air out from under the hood.

Forward facing vents, actually SCOOPS, create HIGH PRESSURE areas that force air INTO the engine area and create a pocket and drag unless it is routed right into your two Holley 1,400 CFM double pumping dinosaurs.

If you want to really lower engine temps easy go get a nice aftermarket oil cooler and mount it up someplace you are not going to crush it crawling over rocks. The added capacity of oil plus the heat exchanger will provide nice stable temps for the engine. Porsche, VW, etc ran oil cooled engines like this for many years.
