Hmm not sure if I'm completely following you but here is my two cents, instead of picking the hood up after removing the bolts on the top just simply slide the hood toward the front and you should beable to get to the bolts

Yeah basically want to leave hood in place instead of removing it. There are no nuts to get at under the hood so i figure its just a matter of taking out the 4 screws and installing the new hinges in place. Just wanted to know if there is anything i should watch out for. I'd hate to have another set of hinges warp on me.

When I took my hood off to cut for the louver, it did require some minor adjustment to get it just right again. The holes for the hinge bolts are slotted to allow for that adjustment. I'd guess if you just undid the bolts, swapped hinges and put them back without moving the hood, you might end up happily in the right place? It's not tough to adjust the hood position anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much. Gently snug the bolts, check your seams and alignment by the hold downs and just ease it into place so everything lines up. Then fully tighten your bolts.

Another word of advice, the hood is not painted under the hinges. Since you'll be breaking the paint seal by removing your hinges, it's a good idea to get some paint under there before putting new ones on.

Hi again all! Wondering if i should grease the new hinges or oil them before installing? And if so, is there a specific way. Or a specific grease/oil i should use? Dumb question i know but I've never done this before :(
