I just put the daystar on this week and can day they work great. No more flutter and only $35 here in Edmonton.

That's the same price I was looking at. Is it harder to latch the hood? I have a hi lift on my hood and I want to make sure the hood does not move even at interstate speeds.

The Daystars will hold the hood DOWN! They are much tighter that the stock ones. I removed the spring as well.

Daystar Latches, cheap, effective, and remove all possibilities of getting on landing in the newspaper.

Thanks guys, I'm going to go with the daystar latches, plus I can always set up my own cotter pin and make y own hood pins I might have to do a write up if anyone is interested!

The spring removal works fine for me. Free took maybe 2 mins only once since have I had the hood flutter and it wasn't even bad. I seriously doubt the hood would fly up and obstruct your view...

No. They just wrap around the rubber band part. Install them loosely because if they are too tight you can't stretch the latch enough to lock it in place. They will be stretched tightly once latched.
