Just NOT the Drake turnbuckle hood latches. They come lose every single day on my hour one-way commute & could not get any sort of customer service. I just bought the RR (wish I would've seen this post beforehand).

I just installed Drakes two weeks ago and I’m happy with them so far. Just like the last trip out to EJS this last March seems just as you pass the Utah line and the cross wind starts up and there goes the hood ☹️
I think getting them adjusted is key

Ive been down the highway at 70mph and all good. Guess I’ll really know come July when we head back to Moab

Save all that latch money and just do the zip tie mod. Put the money to something useful instead.

FWIW, my 2015 came with the Drakes with locking pins, and only 1 key. One of the locks was messed up and I called to get a replacement or a replacement key. They said they didn't have any keys and that I had to buy new pins. I went down to Lowes and bought hitch pins and they work great. My previous JKU had stock latches with the zip tie mod and that worked great.

I'm still using the stock latches....removing the hood spring stops 100% of the hood flutter.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about a little bit on hood flutter at faster speeds? I mean you're literally driving a box down the highway. I can't even see any hood flutter with my stock latches until I'm well over 75-80 mph. Either I got the best OEM JK hood latches MOPAR has ever made...or............it's really not a big deal. Why are y'all even staring at your hoods?

Haha. Well. For me it was just unnerving seeing it dance around. But honestly I don't know why anyone would do anything more than the zip tie mod. It costs cents, only need to replace maybe once a year, and it holds the hood perfectly in place. It adds a perfect amount of strength to a weak point.
